
A gourmet breakfast bowl where the sweetness of maple meets a light, airy coffee foam. Perfect for brunch, an energizing snack, or a quick dessert.
Ingredients
Maple Coffee Foam
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) instant coffee
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) very hot water
- 10 ml (2 tsp) amber maple syrup, rich taste (or dark maple syrup, robust taste for a stronger flavour)
Yogurt Base
- 150 ml (⅔ cup) plain Greek yogurt
- 10 ml (2 tsp) amber maple syrup, rich taste
- A pinch of cinnamon
Toppings
- 1 tbsp chia or hemp seeds
- 1 tbsp chopped roasted nuts (pecans or almonds)
- Maple & nut granola from Le Bistreau d’érable
- Dark chocolate shavings
- Fresh fruit to taste
Preparation
- In a small bowl, whisk the instant coffee, hot water, and maple syrup using an electric mixer or whisk for 3–5 minutes, until thick and glossy.
- In a serving bowl, mix the yogurt with maple syrup and cinnamon.
- Gently spoon the coffee foam over the yogurt.
- Top with seeds, nuts, granola, and chocolate. Serve immediately.
